FALL REGISTRATION OPEN!

Our next session is the fall 2008 semester which begins the week of September 22nd.

You may register for a class on the "Register" page. (Scroll down to the very bottom of the page).

Classes meet once a week for 45 minutes and include songs, rhythmic rhymes, movement, and instrument play. These activities are presented as informal, non-performance-oriented musical experiences--developmentally appropriate for children and easy for parents and caregivers--regardless of their own musical ability.

Is the class you want already full?

If your desired class time is already full, a paid registration in a class you would be willing to attend as your 2nd choice and accepting waitlist status for your 1st choice often pays off! Spots do sometimes become available in full classes during the registration period and sometimes during the session. If space does become available in a full class, paid registrants next on the waitlist for that class will be given priority. You may also be placed on the waitlist for a class without payment but again, paid registrants will be given priority. How to let us know: When registering, choose your second choice class as your first choice then please let us know which (full) class time is your first choice. If a spot becomes available in the full class, you will be able to switch into that class. 

Class size is a minimum of 6 and maximum of 12 registered children and their accompanying adult(s). Please note that occasionally there may be a couple of additional families making up a missed class or previewing in your class.

Classes that do not include at least 6 registrants will be canceled.

If a class gets cancelled due to under-enrollment:

Please be aware that classes may be added, combined or cancelled because of enrollment. Sometimes brand new class days and times take a  little while to get established and sometimes end up being cancelled because of low enrollment. Classes that are under-enrolled (having less than the required minimum of 6 registered children) will be cancelled, usually about one week before the start of the session but occasionally cancellations may happen just a couple of days before the start of the session. Sometimes if a class is very close to having the minimum number of participants needed we may wait until just 2 or 3 days before the start of the session to give more families a chance to sign up! (Some families do wait until the last minute)! If you have signed up for a class that is under-enrolled close to the start of the session you will be notified about what is happening with the class. If your class is cancelled you will be notified of this before the start of the session. If you put a second choice down in a class that has sufficient enrollment a spot will be held for you and your child/ren in your second choice class while we wait to see what happens with your first choice (low enrollment ) class.  If you did not indicate a second choice when you enrolled  and your class is cancelled, you will be offered a spot in any of the classes that have space still available in them. If you are unable to attend any other class you will receive a full refund straightaway. 

Sometimes families that are not registered just show up at the first class of the session hoping to enroll in a particular class.  We ask that you not do this as there is always the possibility that that class may get cancelled due to insufficient enrollment. To avoid being disapointed in such an instance we ask that families always contact us first and not just show up unnannounced.

Music Together with Debbi does not offer the option to pay and attend classes on a 'drop in' basis. Its important for all of the participants to experience continuity and familiarity with the material in order for the best experience with the program and in class. It is important also to solidify the group. Dropping in does not support this.

PREVIEWING A FREE CLASS: You may preview a class at no charge any time during the current session but please arrange this ahead of time by calling me at (415) 258-4830 or email me to set your preview up. Please be aware that you may still register after the start of the session on a space available basis through the 3rd week of class (2nd week in the summer session). Tuition will be pro-rated after the start of the session up to the the third (or in summer, second) week of class.

MAKING UP MISSED CLASSES:
No refunds or credits will be given for missed classes. Music Together with Debbi allows each enrolled family to attend three make-up classes per session. Make-ups may not carry over to the next session. If after you have scheduled a make-up and you find you can not do it, you may cancel the scheduled make-up ahead of time. If you missed your make-up, due to illness you can contact Debbi and your scheduled make-up will be deleted. Make-ups may be taken at any other classes (at either location) that Music Together with Debbi offers during the session that you are registered in. If there are no other classes being offered at your location besides the class you are registrered in, the only option would be to attend a make-up at my other location. Make-ups are offered as a courtesy and are in no way a guarenteed part of your enrollment. No refunds or credits will be given for missed make-up classes that you scheduled. To schedule or cancel a make-up class you must go to the online makeup scheduler. Click the following link: "http://makeups.musictogether.com/ You will need a password: the password is singallday. If during the session, the instructor becomes ill and is unable to teach, families will be notified and classes will be cancelled that week. The session will then be extended by a week (or more if necessary) to make up the cancelled class(es). For liability reasons, we are not able to have subsitute teachers at the Novato location.
